How to style a blue suit

The navy suit is a must in every man’s closet. It’s as versatile as it’s stylish. But how to wear this suit without looking outdated or boring?

In this guide, I will show you a few simple ways to wear your blue suit.

Go monochrome

Like a black suit, you can pair your navy suit with a light blue shirt and a dark blue tie. Have fun and try different shades of blue with your suit for a stylish and personal style.

Add yellow

Wearing a navy suit with any hue of yellow can bring a different look. Try a deep mustard colour for winter and a light yellow for summer.

Underlay with white

Go for a classic look with a white shirt. For a more modern look, add a pattern tie with shades of blue.

Pair with stripes

Wear your navy suit with a striped shirt or tshirt for a stylish look.

Add a touch of burgundy

Burgundy is a fun colour to wear with your navy suit. Choose a shirt or a tie with shades of this jewel color.

Back to black

Finally, add a black turtleneck or shirt for a sophisticated and stylish look.

Style Tips

  • Add blue, brown or black accessories to complete your navy suit. No white shoes. For extra style points, wear a pair of Converse sneakers(see heading picture).
  • Pocket squares are back in! Add one in a solid color or a pattern for an extra personal touch.
  • Trade your navy trousers for khakis or jeans. Instant casual look!
  • Wear a peacoat or a jacket à la Peaky Blinders instead of your blazer.
