Empire Waist Dresses

Throughout history, women have worn empire waist dresses at one time or another. Two time periods come to mind. The Roman Era and the late 19th century English society. Think of the pretty  gownsin Pride and Prejudice.

The empire waist is a very flattering silhouette as it enhances our waistline and covers our thicker thighs and rounder tummy if needed. Who doesn’t like that?

Below, I share with you some pretty dresses that have the empire waist. It sits higher than our natural waistline but it also helps to elongate our silhouette.

What do you think of these dresses? Do you wear this type of dress? Let me know with a comment below! If you need my expertise with any fashion dilemma, find me online!

Stay fabulous!
